Once a project manager has confirmed the project can be closed, a closure recommendation must be raised to the project board.
PRINCE2 recommends:
✔ Use the communication management strategy to identify any organisation or interested party who needs to know the project is closing.
✔ Close the project's issue register, risk register, quality register, daily log and lessons log.
✔ All project information must be safely secured and archived.
✔ Prepare and send a draft project closure notification for review by the project board.
