PRINCE2 defines five characteristics of project work that differentiates it from regular business activities.
✔ Change - Projects bring about change within the business.
✔ Uncertainty - Because a project introduces change, one or more things may be changed or developed. Because this has not been done before it introduces a certain degree of uncertainty.
✔ Temporary - A team is formed, performs the job (the project) and then is disbanded. It has a clear start and end point.
✔ Unique - Every project is unique, either in a minor or major way. It may that it is completly dislike anything done before, or it is the same project repeated several times but in a different location with different people.
